PD FAQs

Attendance

Participants must be present for the full workshop to receive Professional Development credit.
Attendance is verified through sign in sheet (either physical at the event, or virtual for online workshops).
If a class takes course over a period of days, full attendance for each day is required.

Payment

Registration fees should be sent to Regional Office of Education #17, 201 E. Grove Street, Suite 300, Bloomington, IL, 61701 attn: Kelly Nyert at least ten days prior to the workshop.  All district paperwork is the responsibility of the participant. You may also pay online when you register.

Parking

For workshops held during the day (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.), you must park in the Lincoln Parking Garage located at the corner of East and Front Streets. The cost is $1.00 per hour.

For workshops in the evening (after 4:00 p.m.) you may park in the lot on Grove Street directly across from our building.

Cancellations

Cancellations are completed by logging into your Learning Stream (ABC Sign Up) account at: https://reg.abcsignup.com/ram/ram_login.aspx?aid=I-KAN&s1=44&div=41. Failure to cancel ten days prior to the workshop date will result in forfeiture of the registration fee if already paid.  Any “no-shows” with unpaid registrations will be invoiced for the registration fee.

Lunch

Lunch or Dinner will be provided unless otherwise indicated.  If you require special dietary needs please make a note on the registration screen and let us know specifics.

Weather

In case of inclement weather, please listen to WJBC, AM 1230 or check our website for cancellations or late starts. Also, due to temperature variations and/or personal preference please bring a sweater or jacket if needed.

CPDU vs Graduate Credit

All classes will have the same format for graduate credit or CPDU's. We view the graduate credit option as a benefit for the participant. Classes are designed around best practice models of professional development which include reflective, practical application. Please remember 1 CPDU is issued for each hour of class attended.

Graduate Credit

Is offered through a partnership with Lindenwood University.  If you are interested in graduate credit hours for classes offered, please bring a check made payable to ROE 17 to the first day of class.  As of 8/1/2020 pricing for credit is one hour ($125); two hours ($250) and three hours ($375).  This payment is in addition to any class registration fee. Contact Lindenwood University for transcripts.

Missed Classes

Graduate credit classes must have 100% attendance for credit to be issued.
